Encore! Educational Theatre Company returns to the Hirsch Theatre in December with a sparkling production of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance. One of the most popular of all the G&S operettas, Pirates is a rollicking satire of love and duty, set against a background of conflicting loyalties to an all-too-merciful pirate band and a delegation of cowardly constables. The cast of 60, with orchestra of 15, is directed by Robert Binder, Paul Salter and Arlene Chertoff.
