Woman and the Holy City @ The Tower Of David Museum
An intimate encounter with the world of women who came and still come to Jerusalem because of belief, attraction and love. A fascinating personal encounter with the Carmelite Nun Porget from the Order of Sisters of Zion who arrived in Jerusalem 43 years ago by chance. She will talk about the holiness of Jerusalem from her perspective and feelings, about her accomplishments and about her choice, motivation and belief. The music of the flautist Hagar Degan will lead off to a tour in the footsteps of women who arrived in Jerusalem, lived here and left their mark; the Queen of Sheba, Helena and the Holy Cross, Mary Magdalene, Melissanda, Augusta Victoria and others. The tour will begin at the Tower of David Museum and continue out into the Old City.
The encounters will take place in Hebrew.
The concerts in the series “A Musical Pilgrimage” have been made possible through the Jerusalem Foundation.
Cost: Single encounter (Except October 23) – 70 NIS adults, 60 NIS students and senior citizens.
Advance booking is recommended – Reservation Center: 02 6265333.
